Lovin' the Lower Level
When homeowners need more living space, the area down under becomes prime remodeling territory. Finishing the basement provides a simple and cost-effective alternative to adding square footage to a house. The equity, enjoyment and comfort of your home can be dramatically increased with a basement remodel. Homeowner Patti Denison contracted Crown Construction to do just that with a basement/bath renovation. As you can see, her unfinished basement was transformed from a less-than-desirable cellar into a beautifully warm living space. Master craftsman Brian Hollenbeck led Crown’s specialty crews as they framed the beams and support posts. After installing insulation along the outside walls, the area was studded and sheet rocked, creating a family room, bathroom, and playroom.
Crown Construction framed the area for the pellet stove and the homeowner completed the stonework and mantel. An energy efficient vinyl rolling window was installed, complying with the NYS Code for safety with an egress window, which allows for emergency evacuation should the need arise. Patti loves her renovated family room and decorates it with TLC. As you may or may not know, Patti has since come to Crown Construction as our receptionistand we’re glad she did.
