Whoever Said Dreams Can’t Come True?
Whoever said dreams can’t come true? Ernest and Jane Hardy, of Ithaca, moved into their home in the early 70’s and for years, Mrs. Hardy cut out and saved kitchen pictures from magazines for that "some day."
The Hardys put their heads together with John Lafian, Co-Owner, and decided to utilize the foundation of their existing screened-in porch area for their new kitchen and change the existing kitchen into a laundry room and pantry/storage area. The foundation floor was raised 10” to match the level of the house. Mrs. Hardy was wonderfully decisive in her choices and had some unique kitchen ideas. Since she is petite, the base cabinets and countertops were custom made just for her at 32” instead of the standard 36”.
"This is the kitchen I’ve always wanted. Rob (Luce) and Vladimir (Leshkiv) were easy to work with and very helpful. When you have someone in the middle of your home, its very evasive but they just couldn’t have been nicer. The elevations that the designer/estimator created for us were very helpful in envisioning our kitchen. It’s gorgeous - exactly what I wanted," said Jane.
Thank you, Ernest and Jane, for the confidence you placed in Crown Construction. We wish you much enjoyment in your new kitchen.
