Creating a More Spacious Kitchen
WOW! That’s the best word to describe this kitchen makeover. The door on the right side of the before picture is the door in the middle of the after photo. Amazing, isn’t it?
Fourteen years ago, Regina and Tim Ryan, Syracuse NY, moved into a family home, which was built in the 1800’s and has an interesting history. But as time changes so do family tastes.
By removing two walls and a little rearranging, the Ryan’s kitchen was delightfully opened up to create a much more spacious kitchen. This made room for a strategically placed island, that the Ryans "just love," complemented by pendant lighting. The cathedral maple wall cabinets are attractively topped with crown moulding and the base cabinets all have convenient rollout shelves. Notice the decorative medallion overlay above the built-in microwave.
“The work went smoothly and was quickly done. The everyday clean up was great. The crew was wonderful and they put up with our barking dog. Every morning they’d bring in our paper and the dog had to let them know he was there too. And we love the countertops. Everyone has to look closely to see that they are laminate instead of stone”, said Regina.
Another aspect of the Ryan’s remodel of their home was refurbishing their bathroom. The room was gutted, walls moved back, and a beautiful, spacious new bathroom was created.
A special thank you to Regina and Tim Ryan for your confidence and trust in Crown Construction. We count it a privilege to work for you.
