Custom Home Plans

Now the question of stick built vs. a modular home needs to be decided upon. By way of definition, stick-built homes are built on-site, wherein all the materials are delivered to the project site and put together piece-by-piece. A modular home is constructed at the factory, delivered in sections to the job site and set into place.

At Crown Construction, we believe your ultimate happiness and contentment with your home begins and ends with the right plan. So we spend a lot of time making sure we have the right design for your specific needs.

Stick-built Homes

Stick-built homes offer the most variety and customization available. Plans can be changed along the way if you should want to enlarge a room, move a wall or add an extra bathroom... the choices are endless. Crown Construction coordinates every aspect of the job, whether it’s zoning, permits, labor, scheduling, inspections, and whatever else might be involved in your new home.

Since Crown Construction is a design/build company, we will take all your plans, ideas and budget and then produce a custom-made design using our high-tech computer programs. Then, of course, if any changes need to be made, we can fine-tune that design until they are just as you desire. Once you customize the plans, we then have them reviewed and stamped by a structural engineer.

The beauty of building a custom home is that it can be one of a kind. You have endless choices of all the beautiful materials available to you. A customer has told me (Jeff) that they enjoy every square foot of their custom home. Even in my case, I was telling my wife last month that I enjoyed hanging out in the closets they were so nice!

Modular Homes

Technology for modular homes (not to be confused with mobile homes to which wheels are permanently attached) has advanced over the years and is of high quality if you choose the right manufacturer. Every structure is built in a controlled environment and must pass inspections at each phase of construction by both plant quality-control personnel and independent, state-approved third party inspectors.

Affordability of modular homes can sometimes be a key factor in choosing a factory-built home over a stick-built home. Savings can be 10 to 20 percent, depending upon the size and design of the home. Cost savings are credited to production efficiencies and bulk purchasing of construction materials.

Modular homes are built in just about every design and square footage that you would desire. An architectural design services team can modify existing architectural plans and/or alter your designs. New, revolutionary plans are developed on a regular basis to keep current with the recent trends and needs of the consumers. Through our modular home manufacturer, we can offer you a wide selection of designer moldings, flooring, cabinetry as well as exterior treatments such as real cedar shakes, upgraded siding and architecturally-challenging roof designs. These choices offer you customization and a one-of-a-kind home built just with you in mind.
