Crown Construction of Dryden, NY, was named one of the Professional Remodeler's 2003 Benchmark Market Leaders. Just 100 companies from around the United States were chosen for this honor, which recognizes remodeling firms that are leaders in their local markets as well as examples of best practices nationwide.
"We believe that other remodeling companies should benchmark their professional practices against these firms," said Kimberly Sweet, editor of Professional Remodeler, a national magazine for top residential contracting firms. "The ideas coming out of these companies are worthy of national notice."
Remodelers, associations and consultants across the country nominated companies. The editors of Professional Remodeler made the final selections based on best practices in one or more of the following areas: craftsmanship, design, building technology, innovative business practices, sales, marketing, market share, profitability, education, hiring/HR practices, customer satisfaction, manufacturer/supplier/trade partnerships and the use of technology.
John Lafian and Jeff Fredrickson co-founded Crown Construction in 1986. Crown Construction currently has 40 year-round craftspeople, servicing the remodeling needs of Tompkins and Cortland Counties as well as the surrounding areas. "Professional Remodelers magazine has been a wonderful resource to the industry. This is a great honor for Crown Construction", said Jeff Fredrickson, Co-Owner.
Winners received their awards at the 2003 Benchmark Conference in late September, with editorial coverage in the January 2004 issues of Professional Remodeler.
